USGS OFR 02-002: CERC Core Descriptions

Below is a table of available descriptions of cores collected in Long Island Sound as part of the Inner Continental Shelf Sediments and Structure (ICONS) program of the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers Coastal Engineering and Research Center (CERC). Cores were split and described at Hampton University under a project funded by the U.S. Geological Survey (Andrew Grosz, USGS, oral communication, 2001). Core descriptions are provided here as images and were produced from scans of the original core-description sheets. These scanned documents have not been enhanced. Missing core numbers represent those sites where cores were not recovered or core descriptions no longer exist.
