Objectives: Deploy 3 tripods (#168, 169), 3 current moorings (7 instruments, #172) and buoy; recover 5 tripod systems (#155, 156, 158, 160) and 5 current moorings (#165, 8 instruments); and obtain gravity cores.

Information to be derived: Time series data; Suspended sediment concentrations;

Summary: Recovered release and anchor; current meter #161 missing. Recovered moorings: 12 (#155, 156, 158, 159, 160, 161 [partial recovery, current meter missing], 163, and 165, all deployed FA 78031 ATLANTIS II 103 Sep. 28 - Oct. 5, 1978; #166 and 167 deployed FA 78035 WHITEFOOT Oct. 30 - Nov. 2, 1978; #169 and 173 both deployed FA 79002 OCEANUS 56 Mar. 6-15, 1979). Deployed moorings: 6 (#168 [no recovery information]; 169 [grapple recovery on deploying cruise]; 170 [no recovery information]; 171 and 172 both recovered FA 79021 OCEANUS 67 Aug. 6-13, 1979; 173 [recovered on deploying cruise]).
