Objectives: Map shallow limestone aquifers (60-200 feet) in Peace River, Myaha River, and Charlotte Harbor, Florida.
Type of Activity: Sea floor mapping;Sea floor mapping
Information to be derived: Sea floor map;
Summary: Nonlinear hydrophone array gave extremely good high-resolution/deep penetration data. Standard linear array (15 phones 12 inches apart) provided poor resolution in the upper 20-50 feet, although the deeper data (150 feet) were good. On a small boat (21 ft. whaler), lash Uniboom to one side and tow hydrophone off opposite side, not extending back past stern due to prop noise.
