Objectives: To survey areas of the continental slope using a mid-range sidescan sonar, for study of sea floor geomorphology as related to slope stability.

Summary: Total of 995 km of sidescan sonar and 3.5 kHz data tracklines collected. D.W. O'Leary responsible for Lydonia to Oceanographer Canyons, Aug. 29 - Sep. 2, 1980; J.M. Robb responsible for Lindenkohl to South Toms Canyons, Sep. 4-10, 1980; B.A. McGregor responsible for Wilmington to Baltimore Canyons, Sep. 10-3, 1980.
