Scientific Purpose/Goals: This project represents a joint effort by PG&E (Pacific Gas and Electric Co.), the USGS, HARC (Houston Area Research Center) and the NRC (Nuclear Regulatory Commission) to study the deep crustal structure along a transect from Morro Bay across the Santa Maria Basin to the oceanic crust.
