Objectives: Assess changes to shoreface/inner shelf sediment distribution due to Hurricane Fran (landfall Cape Fear, North Carolina, 5 Sep., 1996). Resurvey Wrightsville Beach and Topsail Island, North Carolina to study areas using high-resolution sidescan sonar.

Summary: Reconnaissance sidescan indicates there were moderate changes to shoreface sediment distribution. Sidescan sonar: 50 km.
