Objectives: Sidescan and grab sampling survey of shoreface and inner shelf off Wrightsville Beach and Topsail Island to assess impact of Hurricane Bonnie.

Summary: Noted changes to the morphologic fabric of the sea floor greater than those observed following Hurricanes Bertha and Fran (1996). Van Veen samples: 32 (30 stations); Klein sidescan: 275 km.
