Summary Information for Field Activity 2003-007-FA

Objectives: High-resolution geologic mapping and characterization of the sea floor offshore of Massachusetts.

Information to be derived: Habitat maps; Sea floor map; Bathymetric maps; Morphology;

Summary: Completed ~ 73% of survey between 22 Sep. and 15 Oct. 2003. Collected Swath bathymetry (depth and backscatter) with Submetrix, Seismic reflection with Knudsen, and sidescan imagery with DF1000. Plan to complete survey in Spring 2004.
