Other ID: none

Status: Completed

Organization(s): USGS, Woods Hole Coastal and Marine Science Center

Funding Program(s):

Principal Investigator(s): Kevin Kroeger

Affiliate Investigator(s): John Colman, WRD

Information Specialist(s): Adrian Green

Data Type(s): Environmental Data: CTD, Environmental Data: Temperature, Geochemical: Surveys (geochemical)

Scientific Purpose/Goals: Sampling multi-level groundwater samplers in shoreline transects on north shore of Salt Pond for geochemical parameters, collection of DOC/DIC and N2/Ar samples.

Vehicle(s):

Start Port/Location: Salt Pond, Eastham, MA

End Port/Location: Salt Pond, Eastham, MA

Start Date: 2007-04-26

End Date: 2007-04-30

Equipment Used: Temperature and salinity, Submersible pumps

Information to be Derived: Samples and chemical analysis;

Summary of Activity and Data Gathered: We collected in the range of 100 groundwater samples at the land/sea interface. Colman (WRD) had nutrient analyses conducted. Our group sent DOC/DIC samples to Univ. California, Davis Stable Isotope Facility. In addition, we analyzed N2 and Ar gas concentrations by membrane inlet mass spectrometry.
