Objectives: Preliminary exploration of methods required to perform an acoustic target calibration of acoustic systems such as the ADV, ABSS, or PCADP.

Summary: One week spent at the WHOI Coastal Research Lab building in the tank there using a tungsten carbide target to map the beams of the transducers for Aquascat #17 and record background signal in the tank.
