Summary Information for Field Activity 2010-087-FA

Area of Operations: Upper Mystic Lake, border of Arlington/Medford/Winchester, Massachusetts, United States, North America

Objectives: Conduct pseudo-3D survey of methane seep field in deepwater part of lake in advance of MIT ROV deployment & diver-deployed lander installation for physics/chemistry studies (to be carried out in early 2011).

Type of Activity: Seismic profiling; Sea floor mapping; Water column imaging;water column imaging

Information to be derived: Water column imaging

Summary: Reoccupied sites of former seeps. Filled in areas needed to complete bathymetric map. Conducted high resolution survey of deep basin where we had previously recognized numerous seeps.
