Type of Activity: Sampling;Photography;
Information to be derived: Samples and chemical analysis;Grain size analysis;Habitat maps;Sea floor map;Still and video photography
Summary: Days were divided between 1) Seaboss work collecting data for benthic infauna (R. Zajac, Univ. New haven); bulk chemistry (T. Kenna, LDEO); sediment texture, bottom photography, and CHN (L. Poppe, USGS); 2) CTD and current measurements (K. Howard-Strobel, UCONN); and bottom photographic habitat transects (L. Stefaniak, UCONN). Only the Texture, CHN, and photography in support of the infauna work will be analyzed at the WHCMSC.
