If present, you may wish to grab the mex files for your platform if they exist. This may save you a lot of time... Right now the following distributions exist.
If you download the source distribution and successfully use gridgen, please contribute the mex files back to me so that others may benefit from your success, especially if you've done so with Solaris version 2.6. I tried this and failed miserably.
Unless you grabbed the source distribution, ignore steps 4 and 5.
gridgen will be
created, with subdirectories mex and
test_data.cd into gridgen/mex and run the m-file
"gridgen_mex". This will try to compile the necessary
mex files. It will also run the scripts
test_mexrect, test_mexsepeli, and
test_mexinside. If they fail, most likely your
compiler options are wrong. Check the Digital Unix
options and try to make sure that your options are comparable.
Linux users, DO NOT try to compile the mex-files unless you have a lot of time on your hands and enjoy a challenge!! Compiling the mexlx files was very non-trivial.
gridgen directory.gridgen to your matlab path!
