In this simulation Alexandrium cells were discharged continuously in the Kennebec/Androscoggin river system at a concentration of 100 cells/liter. As seen in the field data, the cell concentrations essentially track the Androscoggin/Kennebec river plume. The cell concentrations are relatively low due to cold spring water temperatures.
