Relative Coastal Change Potential for Sleeping Bear Dunes National Lakeshore. The colored shoreline represents the relative change potential index (CVI) determined from six variables.

The Coastal Change PotentialIndex (CPI) provides insight into the relative potential of coastal change due to future lake-level change. The maps and data presented here can be viewed in at least two ways: 1) as an indication of where physical changes are most likely to occur as lake-levels change; and 2) as a planning tool for Sleeping Bear Dunes National Lakeshore.
