The script entitled "ps_2_gif" (located in //plots/scripts)
converts PostScript files to Graphic Interchange
Format (GIF) files for use in HTML documents.  This is a simple "csh" script 
that can be run on any computer system that utilizes the UNIX operating 
system; it formats postscript output from the GMT program into GIF files.

The script gmt_nav.awk is an awk script which extracts latitude
and longitude values from the raw sidescan data, and places them into
two columns to be read by the GMT mapping scripts.  "Awk" is a tool
that is available on any computer running the UNIX operating system.
