Abstract:
This bathymetry contour data is in ESRI shapefile format and was derived from a National Oceanic Atmospheric Administration (NOAA), National Geophysical Data Center (NGDC) ETOPO2 data set. An ESRI ArcView extension, Spatial Analyst, was used to create 1000m intervals from a database of grid files (2-minute latitude - longitude resolution).
Purpose:
To supplements the main featured mosaic images of the Puerto Rico trench survey with a Caribbean Sea below ocean surface relief model.

ArcView 3.2 with Spatial Analyst extension version 1.1 Surface Menu selection "Create Contours" was used to derive relief representing below surface isolines.
