RESEARCH INTERESTS:
My interests include the development of an office-wide GIS that can be used easily and conveniently. The currently funded CMART project provides for the development of methods and standards that can make it possible to collect and publish "real-time" geologic information. Goals include the development of tools that can be delivered over the network via the ArcView Internet Map Server (IMS) or on CD-ROM. We have a keen interest in developing 3D perspectives and multimedia capabilities that will provide new ways of publishing and viewing our diverse data sets. We are developing a knowledge bank that will serve as the principle resource for the understanding of the Nations marine realms (Marine Realms Information Bank). This activity will serve as an innovative solution for the management of data and improve our ability to do research and to serve the public wisely.
