Connecticut River Estuary

The Connecticut River has the largest sediment load of northeastern US rivers and the estuary has sharp and spatially variable salinity fronts. The USGS is collaborating with scientists at WHOI and Boston College to investigate sediment trapping in the Connecticut River Estuary.
