Hudson River

We have collaborated with researchers from WHOI and the USGS Water Resources Division, with funding from the National Science Foundation and The Hudson River Foundation, to study transport deposition of fine sediment in the Hudson River Estuary. The challenging model domain and boundary conditions have motivated substantial improvements in model nesting, and the outstanding data sets collected by WHOI researchers have provided an opportunity to model the epic floods following Hurricane Irene.
